Tranexamic acid is an active ingredient in medications used to treat or prevent excessive blood loss. It treats a major trauma, postpartum bleeding, surgery, tooth removal, nosebleeds, and heavy menstruation. It  is also used for treatment of hereditary angioedema.


Tranexamic Acid belongs to a class of medications called Antifibrinolytic.
