Levamisole belongs to a class of drugs called anthelmintic (antiparasitic).

It is used in veterinary for a treatment of parasitic and worm infections in animals. 


Levamisole has also been used to treat various dermatologic conditions, including skin infections, leprosy, warts, lichen planus, and aphthous ulcers.
